Herne Hill Velodrome
The P&P World Cycling Revival will be held at the Herne Hill Velodrome – the only heritage cycling venue in the UK. Nationally, and internationally, its importance cannot be underestimated as the historic heart of cycling in Great Britain. A multi-million pound facelift has restored the site to its former glory, finishing a seven year period of works including a new track, fence, floodlights and in March 2017 the opening of a spectacular new pavilion. The site has been re-landscaped throughout and is now in an ideal state to welcome all our patrons to this festival.
The P&P World Cycling Revival will generate significant income for the velodrome and ensure that our next generation of global stars have a community facility which young riders can use at the start of their careers, in the same way that Sir Bradley Wiggins, Victoria Pendleton, Sir Chris Hoy, Laura Kenny, Joanna Rowsell and the majority of other British stars did at the start of theirs. The velodrome is very easy to reach from Central London stations Victoria, Blackfriars and London Bridge being only a short walk from Herne Hill and North Dulwich.
